COPA Talent ID Day: A Standout Day for COPA Score Rising Stars

On July 23rd, something special happened in the Bay Area.
Hosted at the world-class Oakland Roots & Soul Performance Center, the COPA Talent ID Day welcomed 70 of the top-performing female athletes from across Northern California — all born between 2013 and 2008. These players didn’t just sign up; they earned their way in through the COPA Score, our objective performance assessment that measures technical, physical, and cognitive skills.
Back in April, we announced the launch of our multi‑phase Talent ID initiative — starting with a region‑wide COPA Score testing period and leading into exclusive opportunities like Talent ID Day. If you haven’t seen that announcement yet, you can read more about the full initiative and its goals HERE. That announcement lays out how testing feeds into events like the one we just hosted, where standout players earned the chance to showcase their skills.
Out of 2,314 total assessments since April, the athletes who took the field were those who rose to the top — backed by data, driven by effort, and ready to show what they could do in a live, competitive environment.
College coaches, scouts, and pro clubs were on hand. The energy was high. The purpose was clear: create real opportunities through performance — and that’s exactly what the day delivered.
