On March 23rd, COPA hosted a Pro Pathway Talent ID Event for female players aged 14–22 inpartnership with Racing Louisville FC. From hundreds of assessments, 30 top performers were invited to compete—not based on club reputation or coach recommendation, but solely through their objective COPA Score. The entire initiative was free of cost for the player, as COPA aims to remove that barrier that exists in traditional Talent ID.

Unlike traditional showcases or Talent ID events where players apply, are invited or pay to take part, the COPA Pro Pathway took a different approach.
The COPA Score, built around validated assessments of technical, physical, and cognitive skills, allowed players to earn their spot at the event.

Taking place at the UCSF Oakland Roots and Soul Training Facility under sunny skies, the event brought together scouts from Racing Louisville, USL W League, college programs, and local media.

From that field of 30, one player earned a professional trial. Several others impressed as top-tier prospects, showcasing potential that will surely attract continued attention.

Standout Performers

🔹 Mercy Karson (Mustang SC, Carondelet High School, 2010 – Center Back)

One of the youngest players at the event, Mercy showed maturity well beyond her years. Her COPA Score highlighted elite technical and cognitive skills, and on the field, she led from the back with precision, composure, and vocal leadership. Racing Louisville staff took notice—Mercy has been invited for a professional trial.

🔹 Avery Popejoy (San Juan SC, 2009 – Center Back)

Avery posted one of the most impressive COPA Scores of any 2009 player in the last year. Her athleticism, composure under pressure, and physical upside stood out throughout the event after being highlighted in her data. Racing Louisville will be keeping tabs on this emerging defensive talent as other next level programs are taking notes.

🔹 Jadyn Rosenberger (Lamorinda SC, 2008 – Midfielder)

Technically gifted and physically assertive, Jadyn displayed an intense work rate and calmness under pressure. Her COPA Score ranks among the top for her age in technical performance. A late developer, she has a high ceiling and growing college interest.

Other Notable Performers

⚡ Aubrey McLin (Davis Legacy, 2008 – Goalkeeper) – Vocal, composed, and courageous between the posts, Aubrey impressed with some key saves that you’d expect to see at the next level.

Noella Tramble (Davis Legacy, 2008 – Midfielder) – A dynamic ball carrier and sharp passer who showed vision and energy all over the field.

Everleigh Porter (FC Bay Area Surf, 2010 – Midfielder) – The most impressive 2010-born performer from a COPA Score standpoint. She backed it up on the field, competing confidently against older players. This players potential is exciting – pro clubs, take note!

Rhea Moore (San Juan SC, 2009 – Forward) – A clinical center forward with the ability to stretch defenses and score goals. Her movement and finishing has already earned attention from multiple programs.

A Unique Opportunity—With More to Come

This event proves again that objective approaches can uncover top talent—even in players who may otherwise fly under the radar. With one trial offer already extended and several others now firmly on the scouting map, the Pro Pathway is showing what’s possible when opportunity meets performance.
