The Role

A Dedicated Guide for Every Athlete

At COPA, every athlete 9+ is paired with a Player Development Coordinator — the person who connects what happens in training, what the data shows, and what your athlete needs next. Growth doesn’t happen by accident — it happens with clarity, consistency, and repetition, with purpose. Your PDC builds that structure and keeps it moving forward, season after season.

THE COPA DEVELOPMENT JOURNEY

Growth, On Repeat

Growth doesn’t happen by accident. It happens with clarity, consistency, and an environment built to support your athlete over time — development through repetition, with purpose.

This journey is fluid: every athlete moves through it at their own pace, with a PDC meeting them where they are and helping them grow toward their goals.

Membership training is the heart of it all — the reps, the reinforcement, the week-over-week work that builds a player. Your PDC gets to know your athlete and recommends the sessions that make the most of that time, so every training hour and every membership move you make is working toward your athlete’s goal.

And it doesn’t stop at the field. Your PDC checks in, asks how things are going, and celebrates the wins — both at COPA and after you leave. Think of them as the person in your corner.

THE ATHLETE JOURNEY
During every stage of the journey, your athlete keeps training and attending COPA, putting in the repetitions that will lead to progress.
Goal Check-in
Every athlete starts here — new members set their goals, returning athletes revisit and refine theirs. Your PDC gets to know your athlete's story so your next step is personal, not generic.
COPA Score (Assess)
We encourage every athlete to take the COPA Score at the start of their journey, setting a clear benchmark to build from. It’s a simple, objective snapshot of where they stand today.
COPA Score Feedback
Your PDC walks your athlete through what the COPA Score means in plain terms – where their strengths and growth areas are. From there, they suggest which sessions will help your athlete progress.
Session Observation
Your PDC watches your athlete train in a live session to see how they perform in real time. It's a chance to confirm what the score showed and catch what testing alone can't.
Individual Development Session
An IDS is a one on one opportunity with your athlete’s PDC to focus on individual development and improvement. These sessions are built around the feedback from the COPA score, what is observed in sessions and what your athlete wants to work on most.
Re-Assess
We encourage athletes to re-assess every four months to track progress and revisit their goals. It’s a chance to see if they’re on the right path or if it’s time for a refresh.
